Overfeeding

Yellow leaves plus regular feeding usually means too much fertilizer for such a small plant.

Diagnosis

Overfeeding

What's happening

Lucky bamboo needs only a tiny amount of nutrients, and a vessel of water has nowhere to flush excess salts. Standard houseplant fertilizer, or feeding too often, overwhelms the roots and burns the foliage yellow, sometimes with browning tips and cloudy water.

How to fix it

Pour out the water, rinse the stones and roots, and refill with clean distilled or filtered water to dilute the build-up. Then feed only a few times a year, using a fertilizer made for lucky bamboo or a balanced liquid feed diluted to about a tenth of its normal strength — a single drop or two per change is plenty. When in doubt, skip the feeding; this plant does fine on almost nothing.

What fixes it

If that doesn't fix it

This is general guidance based on common symptoms; individual plants vary.
